Wella Colorcharm Powder Lightener is a dust-free powder lightener that can deliver brilliant blonde results with up to 7 levels of lift. Its controlled and reliable lightening action makes it suitable for all on- and off-scalp application techniques. The product also features a protecting oil system to help lock in moisture.

To prepare for the lightening and toning process, you'll need Wella Colorcharm Lightener, Toner T18, a bowl and brush, gloves, a towel, an old t-shirt, a protective barrier cream (like coconut oil), and a timer.

For a root touch-up, mix 1 part Wella Colorcharm Lightener with 2 parts 20-volume developer, apply to the new growth, and process for 30 minutes or until the roots reach a light yellow. Then, mix 1 part Lightener with 2 parts 10-volume developer and apply to the mid-length and ends, processing for an additional 20 minutes until the hair is pale yellow.

For first-time lightening, divide the hair into four sections, secure them with clips, and start applying the lightener mixture 1/2 inch away from the scalp, taking 1/4 inch partings to ensure proper saturation. Process for 20 minutes, then apply the mixture to the roots and continue processing until a light pale blonde is achieved.

After lightening, it's time to tone. Mix 1 part Wella Colorcharm Toner T18 with 2 parts 20-volume developer, apply from roots to ends, and process for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water, gently emulsify until the water runs clear, and then shampoo and condition.
